Rosewood Retirement Community is home to more than 220 residents. Since 1974, our neighborhood has provided a fulfilling lifestyle along with the security of health care.

As Bakersfield’s only continuing care retirement community, Rosewood has three levels of living – residential living, assisted living, and skilled nursing care – all on the same beautiful campus. We offer spacious apartment homes and flexible residency plans, including rental options.

Rosewood is accredited by the Continuing Care Accreditation Commission, an independent agency affiliated with the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging. This seal of approval assures residents and their families that our community meets national standards for quality care.

We’re part of American Baptist Homes of the West (ABHOW), a trusted nonprofit provider of quality retirement housing and health care services. As an expression of its Judeo-Christian mission, ABHOW seeks to enhance the well-being and security of seniors through the provision of housing, health care, and supportive services.

ABHOW operates 11 continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs) and 18 affordable housing communities. CCRCs provide residents the continuity of a flexible, independent lifestyle while offering the security of health care. The ABHOW Foundation helps these communities by providing financial support to residents who require assistance.
